Medizin Aktuell: So two people can
be sitting next to each other somewhere on a park bench, and whilst one of them, in full possession
of the achievements in his civilised world with its
three main states of consciousness, quite
naturally “knows” that one day he will die, the other one next to him
knows that death does not
    exist at all.

Peter Hübner: Yes, from outside that is not visible although the person who knows about the illusion of death, should give a much happier impression than the person who, quite justifiably, believes in death, and is at least unconsciously accordingly afraid.
Medizin Aktuell: This knowledge and these thoughts are surely not insignificant for medicine because the great field of medicine is indeed in the span of time between life and death.
But what about the objective, scientific argumentation of everything you have just so coolly talked about?
How should the arts scholar and especially: how should the natural scientist deal with this?
What should the scientific argumentation for all these facts described look like?
How should the scientists scientifically objectify the further or higher states of consciousness you are talking about?
You know, that in the past centuries objective science has removed all religious speculations about the non-material things from the daily practice of our everyday life.
Everything that cannot be proven and scientifically objectified, is pushed away by objective science into an area of the “obscure” where philosophers, theologians and prospective esoteric experts can play around with it.
You are surely not assuming that the higher states of consciousness should land in this obscure world of superstition where they have already largely landed in history.
So how do you see the scientific future of everything you have said here with regard to the soul, the cosmic human powers, a cosmic life and especially: with regard to the higher states of consciousness which surely here take the role of golden magic keys to all improvements?
How do you see the aspect of objective, scientific argumentation guaranteed with regard to those “cosmic worlds” the measurability with material measuring methods, i.e. with material devices?
Peter Hübner: I am not worried about
objectifying these things with modern medical equipment and technologies in the computer age. You must remember that the
fourth main state of consciousness was verified by means of objective scientific medicine more than thirty years ago i.e. it could be proven to be fundamentally different from the first three main states of consciousness you had already mentioned this.

In connection with the practice of transcendental meditation by the famous wise man
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi there are, as I have heard, meanwhile more than
500 different scientific studies on the effects of the fourth main state of consciousness or further main states of consciousness in the various areas of life: physiological, psychological, sociological and even ecological.
